MUET Hacks – 2019
Major League Hacking, officially abbreviated as MLH, is a company that operates a league for student hackathons. MLH organizes and helps organize the different events, i.e. Hackathons, Workshops, Hack Days, etc., across the globe. MUET ACM Students’ Chapter, in association with MLH conducted the 2 nd iteration of MUET Hacks on 16 th December 2019 at Video Conference Hall, IICT Building, Mehran UET, Jamshoro.
MUET Hacks’19 observed different segments on different topics. The topics of the sessions were chosen very carefully keeping in view the current on growing market needs. The main aim of this year’s MUET Hacks was to familiarize the students with technologies currently being used in the market.
MUET Hacks’19 was attended by students from across the University, including the SZAB Campus, Khairpur Mirs’. The sessions included some insight on Microsoft Technologies & Products and their efficient implementation in university’s daily life. Which included “Intro. To Microsoft Innovative Educator Program” delivered by Ms. Bibi Fatima, MIE Expert “One Note” delivered by Ms. Munzah Shah, Vice Chair MUET ACM Students’ Chapter and “Microsoft Teams” delivered by Ms. Javeria Khalid, Chair MUET ACM-W Students’ Chapter.
The schedule was followed by the keynote lecture of Dr. Sheeraz Memon on the topic “integration of mathematics in the field of computer engineering”. And after the keynote, Dr. Sheeraz, Patron MUET ACM/-W Students’ Chapter administered the oath-taking ceremony for the new Executive Body.
After the oath-taking ceremony, a series of workshops took place which included, “Introduction to Python” delivered by Mr. Bilawal Abbasi, Chair MUET ACM Students’ Chapter, followed by “Machine Learning and Video Analysis using MS Azure” by Mr. Fazalullah Memon, Past General Secretary MUET ACM/-W Students’ Chapter and “How to collaborate with GitHub” delivered by Mr. Mursal Furqan, MTA, Past Chair MUET ACM/-W Students’ Chapter.
All the attendees received different swags, including a $50 voucher each by DigitalOcean and membership email addresses to UnifiedCrest. Lunch was also arranged for the attendees.
